More progress...mid July

In the top picture you can see the beginnings of our front counter. Also, the dining room tile is completely finished and is incredibly beautiful. Can't wait to start dropping food on it! There's a Pepsi cooler where our new oven will go.

The second picture shows the finished kitchen area, except for the hole in the back wall (boarded up). We are still waiting at this point to receive our new walk-in cooler. US Cooler Company is running very behind. We should have received the cooler the end of June. This will be a big project putting the thing together and we hate putting it off. Otherwise, notice the ceiling is in and the tile and FRP walls look great!

Progress...early July

Here's a picture from about 3-4 weeks ago. The tile is nearly finished. The walls are nearly finished. The hood vents are nearly finished. How much can we do all at once?

Our new sign

Finally, our sign is finished. We are so happy with it. It should spin and light up after we get the electricity hooked up to it.

Compare these pictures

The top picture was taken a couple of weeks ago, right after we took over the store. The bottom picture was taken today. About two thirds of the tile has been laid (not yet grouted). We still don't know what to do about the paint on the walls.

Notice in the background of the recent picture, the blue tile on the wall that our new oven will stand in front of.

Lookin' good!! We are hoping to start moving in a couple more weeks. There is still a lot to do!

More Progress...

So the sheet rock is finished and you can see that we've started painting in the dining area. We are not happy with the painting so far. Who knows what color the walls will be when we open our doors? This picture was taken almost 2 weeks ago (we've been too busy to post!).

They should be done any day now. We will take over the building, and we aren't ready. We have not received our tile and plastic wall covering.

This tangle of tubes is our future ventilation system. The piles on the floor are our insulation and sheet rock.

Right now, they are waiting on the plumber. He has to get the vents up through the roof.
